Transforming this little room into our version of home; complete with three bookshelves, one futon, and miscellaneous pieces of wooden furniture to store our junk.
We ran into a little trouble the first two nights after our power sporadically decided not to work anymore. Unable to cook in our little designated kitchen spot, David transported the microwave to the section we like to call our "bedroom" to cook dinner.
On campus, I busied myself by attending class and taking advantage of all the school activities offering free food. A college student has to do what a college student has to do for food!
Some cake in our faces to kick of Labor Day weekend and celebrate my best-friend's boyfriend's birthday. That white ghostly thing is my face by the way, took two seconds to do.
To the important stuff, lessons learned from this week:
- Finding cheap produce is a learned skill
- Never use your microwave on the same outlet as your kettle and your refrigerator
- Do not fall for the "free range" or "organic" labels, they'll make you spend 4-5 dollars more than you should
- Always be appreciative of the small things
Till next week,
Grace
